Victorian Skills First

Skills First is an exciting Government-funded opportunity to gain new skills or upgrade your existing qualifications in the building and construction industry. It aims to provide access to government-subsidised training for courses in growth industries to eligible Victorian students of all ages.

Through the Skills First program, eligible applicants may access Victorian and Commonwealth government-subsidised funding for courses at Builders Academy, making it much more affordable to study.

This means you can potentially gain access to a Certificate IV or Diploma level qualification for a fraction of the cost.

Supporting the building and construction industry

The government realises the importance of supporting builders, tradespeople and apprentices looking to expand their existing skills and knowledge to pursue a more rewarding career in their chosen field.

Whether you want to become a plumber, a builder, a construction manager or site supervisor, attaining the best possible training and guidance will make all the difference in the quality of our workforce for the future.

It is for this reason that there are such funding options available to those who are motivated to pursue a meaningful and rewarding career.
